Owen L. Mitchell Memorial Day Regatta
2009 Results:
31 of 31 boats started and 31 boats finished with winds out of the NE-E all the way to New Harbor. It was a wonderful fairly quick ride without being taxing. Floating Point added some excitement to the race by going aground in the channel to the New Harbor with the result of many boats doing circles outside until they got off the sandbar. The little F27 Flying Fish, Steve Parks was the first boat to finsh. The weekend ended up being much better than anticipated. Sunday the fog surronded the island and would come and go during the day. Little bit of rain in the evening. The ride back was calm for the first part then the SE came in eventually shifting to SW.
- The Team Trophy went to the team All Nuts which was made up of the following boats: Expresso, Coconut and All In.
